The GNOME - Issue 001

The GNOME is a little magic magazine created by me, Myles Thornton, to share tricks, ideas, and other magical content.

This first issue features Coincidence on Command, an ACAAN-style effect that requires no stack, no memory work, no forces, and can be performed with a regular deck of cards. It can even be done with a borrowed, shuffled deck and is surprisingly easy to perform.

I created The GNOME because I was growing tired of digital downloads and wanted to produce a fun, tangible piece of magic that’s exciting to receive through the post. For the debut edition, I wanted to include one of my favourite effects to perform, which also happens to be a great magician fooler.

Each issue of The GNOME will be numbered and will feature a trick that could easily have been a standalone release, along with stories, tips, and ideas.

All the artwork, illustrations, and design are created by myself, and I’ll be running the shop as a one-man operation. There are no fixed release dates, so be sure to keep an eye on the website and social media pages to see when the next issue drops.
